Another rotten box finished. 10 in a row without silver, and this one only had 1 NIFC worth keeping. There was one other NIFC, but some idiot had taken a sharp instrument and left several deep scratches across the obverse. Two more Brinks boxes and two fed boxes to go this week. I'm only one box from tying my all time record for silver skunks. Sure hope this soon ends.

sorry to hear RCook, my biggest streak was 9 skunks, that was not fun. You are not getting your own dumps, right? dumping in a different car service?
Either way, keep on pluggin, nice work. something will show itself.

Last four boxes for the week, 1-67, a real nice 86P and one of those plated Kennedy anniversary coins Blah. Don't give up RCOOK some silver will find its way to you! How do you find a Capped Bust in a coinstar machine? Was it in coin return bucket? I had a chat with one of the managers I deal with and she asked me if I wanted the foreign coins that fall into the overflow bucket of their coin machines? Of course this is after she already threw them away, she said she throws them away all the time lol she told me would save them for me from now on? I never thought about asking for them? We will see what happens. One never knows might be lucky to get some silver from that too. Hope you all have a great weekend. Keep up the Hunt!. I want to find a capped bust! What are the odds?
"LOVE THE HUNT!"

4 boxes today. 2 1964's, a proof and a couple of NIFC. Stopped at a bank in a grocery store which is where I find all of my NIFC dollars at and scored these 4. I'm not sure who is dumping current year NIFC there but it seems to a hot spot.

So after about a 6 month dry spell I found 3 40%ers 66' 67' and a 68' plus I found my first NIFC 2014 and a really nice BiCentennial (I was born in 75, so if I like how it looks I keep it on all denominations lol)

Just tied my longest skunk streak of 11 boxes without silver. At least there were 10 NIFC that were in pretty nice condition in this box.
Jack, I've already found well over (100) 2015 P&D's. Every week for about the last month or so I've been getting them.
My back is hurting pretty bad (chronic back pain) so I think I'll call it a night. Hopefully I'll feel like doing another box or two tomorrow. I know my luck will change sooner or later, I'm hoping it's soon. I've already opened box 4, no enders.

Arby, it was just in the reject slot with a bunch of clad coins. I saw it was silver, but the bust blew my mind!
RCook, sorry to hear it. People who don't have serious back problems have no idea what it's like. I have scoliosis, and I had a bulging disk mess me up last week. I'm just now getting back to normal.

I just placed an order for halves in a state I'll be vacationing in soon. I called the same branch and coin vault manager as last year. Last year she was totally accommodating, so I was hopeful she would still be working there in the same position. She answered the phone and it blew my mind when she instantly remembered me! She was 100% genuinely pleasant and helpful again...what a treat. There is another lady in a branch in a neighboring town who is the complete opposite, so I know how negative attitudes can affect our hobby. I hope you all experience positive folk in your area! HH

Just set a new record, not one I'm proud of, 12 boxes without silver. Box 12 had nothing in it, no silver, no NIFC, no proofs, etc. Things have gone as low as they can go maybe that's a sign things are about to change.

I thought that too, RCook, but here I am at 57 boxes in a row without silver. I gave up, though I secretly want to try three more just to make it an even 60 if it gets that high.

This box was also a silver skunk, 13 consecutive boxes without even one piece of silver . Only things worth mentioning were 1 NIFC and 1 proof. One more box to go this week, I've already opened it looking for enders, none found. Think I'll wait until tomorrow to search the rest of it.

RCook, I'm sorry to hear you're not finding silver. I'm up against the same where I live, so I have given up. Now I search only when I travel to other states for vacation. Perhaps you should mark a box or two of coins so you can track them and know how many coins you've already searched are recycling. Best of luck whatever you decide.

Shut out again this week. 2 weeks in a row without a piece of silver. Now up to 14 boxes. Maybe once the cycle breaks I'll get a monster box!! Funny how this hobby goes, about 4 weeks ago I got 31 pieces of silver, now for the past 2 weeks I haven't seen a thing.
