JFK Half Dollar Roll Hunters: Silver, Proofs And Other Finds

I found one of those last week.

Finished boxes 5 & 6, no silver this week. Of my last 25 boxes (25,000 coins) one box has contained silver. While everyone else keeps track of how much silver they can collect I keep track of consecutive boxes without silver, present count 6 boxes. Box 5 had (4) 2002-date NIFC, and box 6 had (3) 2002-date NIFC. Oh well, I'll get them next week. One of these days I'm GOING TO HIT ANOTHER MONSTER BOX and I'll be doing this!! I soon should make some hunter happy, as I have one $1000. bag full of nothing but bicentennial coins and many of them will probably end up in someones box(es), I just hope they're not mine. It took less than 14 boxes to pull $1000. worth of bicentennial coins. I think I'll continue to separate the bicentennials as a way of having an indication of whether I'm getting my own coins back or not. If I get boxes without many, good chance I've seen them before, if I get boxes that are nearly all bicentennial, good chance I've also seen them before.

Cracked 4 boxes this morning and hit a nice haul, no skunks is always good, I pulled my first 2015D, plus another 10-NIFC, 3-holed coins, 1 of those gold plated ripoff counterstamped anniversary coins, 1-GEM 72, 1-74D DDO, 3-90%ers 2-64D and 1-64, 18-40%ers, 7-67, 4-68, 6-69, and a 1976 S Silver Bicentennial plus a 76S Clad Proof. It has been a great morning and an awesome week. I received some good news from one of my banks, they have set up a standard order for me twice a week until I let them know otherwise. I thought this was going to be my last 4 boxes and now I am on my way to make a dump and pick up another 4 boxes for the weekend. Rcook don't give up, its just a matter of time before you hit some good numbers. Enjoy the pics!

Silver is silver

I gave up at 57 consecutive skunk boxes, never finding silver.



I keep thinking I should give it another go, maybe 2 or 3 more boxes just to try my luck, but after being so disappointed for so long, I don't feel like it's worth my time. I am blown away at how much silver the same several people find when they CRH boxes, yet I can't seem to find one single silver in all those boxes I search. There's gotta be something going on down here with silver halves. Still, glad to see at least someone has luck with these searches. I just wish my day would have come at some point!

Nice Score SC, Silverstackerkid, are you sure that rotated coin is not a magic coin? Have you weighed it or have you done a drop test to see what it sounds like? I hope its a true rotated die, many have been fooled by the magic coins. I was trying to see if I could make out the reverse edges but couldn't tell. Congrats on your finds too halfhunter!!
