Went to a local credit union yesterday they had 20 bucks worth found 9 40% out the the 20 bucks not to bad. There is definitely still a ton of silver out there in boxes as shown by arby96. People don't know what they have and just spend them like normal money at the bank. I am getting 3 boxes tomorrow my first boxes in forever from a friend who gets 6 boxes a month from a bank of his. Hoping for some good finds tomorrow afternoon.

Well Arby I see August is starting up right where July left off. Even with silver prices down that box was over $250. profit, nothing at all to complain about.

dump bank took good care of me today. I have been dumping 2k to 3k there loose in $500 bags, they give me the bags. Its a nice setup.
Today, I dropped off 2 x $500 bags. The supervisor teased me about not wanting them, but that was ok because I don't mind being teased as long as he takes them in the end. He then told me to not drop off on Fridays. Something about the vault not being opened, I didn't quite catch what he meant.
But, if that is what he wants, well, it would be me pleasure to comply. as long as they take them at all. So no more friday dumps.
Oh, and here is the kicker. I saw some halves in his drawer, about 8 coins. I asked if I could take them off of his hands, since I thought I saw a couple of silver rims.
He pulled a 64 and a 67 out of the stack and plopped them in front of me. "pretty nice, eh" he says!
I said yes, very nice. He then pulled them back and said that I could have all of the other ones. I didn't want to seem upset, so I told him that was fine... I threw out five bucks.
At the last moment, he threw the 2 silvers into the pile along with 2 quarters, and he sold me the 9 halves and 2 quarters for 5 bucks.
The 64 and 67 he sold me account for more silver than I have found in my last 10 boxes :-) Made my day of course!

@Arby96, what coin service do you get your halves from? I've never seen that type roll in this area. @grime5, nice hit on $6. worth of coins. I guess I bragged on my dump bank too soon. This week when I went to dump they said they'd no longer take them because their auditor had a problem with it. This isn't a bank that I've made a $25. deposit with, but one that I transferred my direct deposit to and currently have accumlated about a $5000. balance with in the past 3-4 months . This bank advertises 100% customer satisfaction and is a national banking company so I've got a call in to their customer service and a supervisor looking into it. They will give 100% customer satisfaction as they claim or I'll be taking my business to another bank. They're claiming they don't have room for the halves in their vault although when I started dumping there they said they had no problem with taking them. I've been taking them on Tuesday afternoons as they requested since their pick-up/delivery is on Wednesday morning, so they are likely in their vault less than 8 business hours. I've sometimes carried the bags into the vault for them and there are never other bags of coin anywhere to be seen. They called their main branch in the town I'm dropping at and they also said they couldn't take the coins. You'd think the main branch in a university sized city would have enough vault space for 3 bags of coin. I cut my order from 6 boxes a week to 2 boxes a week until I get this resolved.

It might not be the vault space alone, but the cost of getting them from the vault to another storage location.
It is a fact that CRH dumps cost banks money.
At least you do have some leverage by having a large balance, however you must be prepared to move on.

A sliver Arby's luck just came my way ... Just opened a box to see 2 40% Enders...checked about 10 rolls so far and found a walker,Franklin and 3 more 40%. Can't wait to see what is in the rest of the box and the other 5 boxes I also picked up ... Good luck to everyone beginning their weekend boxes!

RCook, The seal on the box is Miracle the are the short boxes, rolls are double stacked. I have had some real good boxes and there are weeks where I get zero. The most I received out of one of their boxes was 240 pieces of silver. Silver Eagle I hope you hit a great load. its fun seeing those enders when you open a box the only thing better are double enders. Those last two double enders produced 38 pieces of silver and 90% of them were 1964s. That was the first time I got a full roll though I was close once before. I will ride this wave as far as I can or until I get knocked off by those sharks at the bank whom are afraid of a little hard work. Wishing you all the best! Changing to another banking system isn't a problem as long as I can find one willing to work with me. I recently started weeding out another bank I'd been doing business with for about 30 years because they wouldn't order coins for me. I've had 6 figure accounts with them for years, so I figure they're the one's who will come out on the loosing end of that deal!! I say started weeding them out, because I have some long term investments with them that won't mature for 2-3 years, but when that time is up someone else will get the business.
