I agree! But it is difficult to find half dollars. I have one place where I buy, but the 12 boxes I have went through have been previously search. Just looking for another supplier. Most likely will have a good supple somewhere soon. May need to open some accounts to get the job done. |

@CSOTUS, yes my order branch wants me to dump there too so I don't inconvenience other branches. The manager also said he would be happy to order them for me until he is told he can't by the higher ups. Too bad other branches can't be like this one.

Smoke, all 100 boxes of half dollars I've looked through have contained numerous coins marked by other roll hunters. I've looked through boxes of halves in 4 states, and this has been true in all four. Despite this, I have found an average of 0.5 silver coins per box. The key is to look through many many boxes because more often than not the boxes come from the same coin vault but are delivered by different armored car services, so it appears the boxes come from different sources.

Went into a random bank yesterday to cash a check and of course I asked the teller if she had halves. They have 6 boxes waiting for me now. Box 1 yielded 9 40%, 2 90%s, 1994 proof and 12 NIFCs. To date this is my best box.

I crh a lot, I just did my first box of halves the other day. I found no silver, but I did find 2 proofs (1977s,1989s), a 1987 NIFC, a gold plated 1977, and a 2009 D NIFC. Happy hunting.

Yinzi, that is remarkable. How have you done with your walker set? I bet its awesome. Ive got my new backpack, so I can now carry 2 boxes on my back. Got a swiss army model, on sale. I would not have paid full price but it seems of high quality. Today I rode my bike to dump 2 boxes, and then picked up 2 more. Did it twice in great time. The efficiency is improving! :-) And, the boxes were good! Box 1: 2 x 40% Box 2: 1 ender, ended up with 1 x 64, and 13 x 40% Box 3: skunk Box 4: 2 enders, ended up with 1 x 44D, 1 x 64, 14 x 40% Total of 32 pieces, 3 being 90%ers.      |

I have finally searched a roll of half dollars! Yes, it was just one roll haha, but I have done it! My local bank now has a supply of half dollar rolls, 
so I decided I would pick up one w/ my newest box of pennies. Nothing of interest that I found; I did fill out some holes in my album.
