Boxes 5 and 6 for this week completed. Box 5 had 2 NIFC, 2 rolls that had a penny in place of one of the halves, so I came up $ .49 short on each of those rolls and a third roll that only had 19 coins. Total loss on this box $1.48. Box 6 had 1 40% 1968D, 3 2002-date NIFC and 1 1982P no FG. At least I got one piece of silver out of the 2 fed boxes so I didn't lose money on the fed boxes. Total silver for the week 3 40% 1966, 1967, 1968D and 1 90% 1949.

It wasn't in the greatest condition, but at least it's not an empty hole there anymore. Maybe if I keep up the searching long enough I can one day upgrade it to a nicer coin. Of course I like it better when there's more silver, but I guess we should just be thankful there's any silver still out there since it's been 45 years since the last circulated silver pieces were made. I'm hoping the silver will pick up around this area in the next couple months. I figure there will be a few cash in silver at the banks in order to get money to spend for the holidays. I'm not wishing bad luck on other people, but if they're going to cash it in I'd like to be the one standing there with my hand out to catch it. My 2 best boxes ever came in Jan. 2015, I suspect it was from someone cashing in a collection for holiday money. |

Silver is scarce in my area this month, another 4 boxes 1-68. I did pull, 56-NIFC all 06 P&D's 1-87P and 1-93 Clad proof. September has not been a good month as of yet. Will make a dump tomorrow and pick up 4 more boxes. Hope my luck changes. I am having silver withdraws, I need a huge fix!   "LOVE THE HUNT!" "LOVE THE HUNT!"

rcook, 49 franklin is a great find, Ive found only 1 and was thrilled. arby, sorry to hear about the slow start, I hope it turns around real fast for you. good luck on the next boxes! today was a great hunt, with no skunks. box 1: 5 x 40% box 2: 45p, 46p, 54d, 58d x2, 62d*, 63d x2, 64x2, 10 x 40% box 3: 64, 12 x 40% box 4: 51p, 64x2, 3 x 40% *hole filler 14 90% 30 40% hoping this vein holds a little longer. 3 in 1 roll  I sent this to my dad, the year he was born  separated by box  tihs thing was more the size of a quarter, and maybe 100 microns thin. Any ideas? I googled for snakes and bbb and shield but could not find anything.  bad pic of the 90%ers  stack  happy hunting all!  Edited by skibdib

Nice haul Skibdib. I can't wait till I hit another really good week. At least the last few weeks there's been a little silver trickling in which is better than the skunks I was getting for awhile.
