yeh, its a trickle, def better than none, but still pretty slow. Let's see if anything changes today, not really expecting it to though.

I got this "roll" from the bank in the grocery store by my house the other day. The teller had another $10 in her tray and asked if I wanted her to "roll" them up but I said I would take them loose.



I got a call yesterday from a teller from the bank in the grocery store by work that she had a bag of $450 in halves and asked if I wanted them. The last time I went and got a bag from them it was mainly all the halves I had spent at Walmart across the street from the bank or at the gas station up the block from work. There were some other coins mixed in this time but a lot that I had spent in the area.

No silver but I found a lowball, a 2014 proof (unfortunately not a hole filler as I already found a 2014 before), and 6 that I counterstamped at some point in time but I can't recall when.

Last 2 boxes of the week finally found some silver.

Also a 1982P no Fg this is the best condition one I have ever found.









I'm cutting back on the number of boxes. I'm having problems with my right hand, I have developed what is called trigger finger in 2 of my fingers from flipping through so many coins.

You can still edge hunt by cracking all of the rolls open and just looking for the silver and forgetting about the errors and NIFC.

While I was making a drop-off of some other denominations, I thought to ask for half dollars. The tellers could barely hide their excitement about getting rid of what they had (a total of $120 rolled and $11.50 loose). The 12 rolls were all the same wrapper, of a type I have never seen before, and placed together in an old, beat-up quart sandwich bag. Needless to say, I quickly started to imagine what could be hidden in them!

When I got to my car, I started to check the rolled half dollars. I immediately noticed a large quantity of "dusty" (not literally, but they had the appearance of sitting in rolls for many years) 1970s-era coins. I thought to myself that these rolls were definitely going to yield a little bit of silver.

Sure enough, I found 2 dirty 40% silver coins. I had hoped for more, but I'll take what I can get. These are the first silver half dollars I've found at a bank since August 13th, so they broke quite the drought!

Congrats on the recent silver finds to trapper, RCcook, Skidib, John77 and Arby and anyone else I may have missed.. Well this last week was yet another productive week for my four boxes that I finished up yesterday.. here are some pics as I know you all enjoy that shiny stuff.
