I have found 4 1987 pairs in my previous 4 boxes. The first pair, P/D I finished my folder with, the other pair I took to the Club meeting and sold them as a pair at the monthly meeting auction. They brought $4.50 for the pair, in very nice circulated condition. A member had been looking for both for her folder, so I was sure they would sell. Webekin

Some of the boxes I'm getting the rolls have been rewrapped. The boxes are taped with brown tape like they normally are though. The person who re wraps them does an excellent job but you can still tell they have been opened on the end. One of the boxes I had all the rolls were machine wrapped and not been opened. I found 3 1964 and 2 40% in that box. So, I guess you can say I'm happy but still disappointed! Good luck all!

I had a while last year where I thought I was getting the same thing but instead it was apparently rolls that somehow failed to get crimped on one end because I was occasionally finding silver in them. Best I recall they were coming from Brinks boxes. I'm not saying you can't get coins that have been re-rolled by a previous searcher because I have on several occasions but sometimes it's the fault of the rolling machine. A couple rolls I got in my boxes last week were loose on one end. They were all wrapped in the same paper but those rolls were only crimped on one end.

I just finished last weeks boxes last night. It was a pretty uneventful week with 1 piece of silver a 1966 40%, 2 impaired proofs, and a 2013 Medio Balboa. 2017 YTD silver 39.3337 troy oz. I should be picking up 4 more boxes this afternoon.

4 boxes from last week, for 2 x 40%.

3 boxes were not stamped, and 1 box had a stamp different then I am used to seeing. These boxes have sat somewhere for a while as there was lots of dust inside them, and black stains on the cardboard inside the box between the rolls, just from dirt and time. Even found a dead ladybug in one of those boxes.

Out of the 4 of those from yesterday, 2 were skunks. The other 2 collectively gave up 1 1964, and 8 x 40%.

Slowly stacking away. Missed about 20 boxes so far this month, so that doesn't help.

Good luck all,

Got $100 customer wrapped on past Friday. Found a 1952 Benny and 1969 D Kennedy. It was super thrilling.

Another 4 box skunk this morning, several coins I marked this month were in the boxes, Don't see any silver in the future for the week, we will see, on my way to pick up 4 more boxes. UG me do not like these skunk streaks.

My dump bank had a sign posted on the door yesterday that they were going to start imposing a 5% fee to account holders on coins in access of $24.99. The head teller also told me corporate won't allow her to order halves for me anymore. There's another bank in town I'm going to check with but if they won't help me out looks like my half searching is going to be cut way back. I know this isn't going to break them but there's been between $25-30K in my checking account they've been using free of interest that's getting ready to find a new home. I also had my direct deposit set up in that checking account so they'll also lose that money. When I close the account I may talk to the branch manager and tell her she needs to let corporate know they are losing customers because of their new policy.

Arby, that counterstamp looks disturbingly like the runes used as insignia by the Nazi SS. I'm not going to post any examples or anything, but those interested can google it.

Silver Searcher, I am not much for Political Correctness, I grew up watching TV Shows making fun of the Nazis One of my favorite show was Hogans Hero's. If someone get upset about me posting a pic like that its their issue to deal with LOL. I was just wondering if anyone else has pulled or seen this mark before? Being on a 1999 coin is pretty recent, Oh is it a secret message? The Horror, LOL

Congrats on those last boxes Arby. Even if it all did come out of only 2 boxes that's still not a bad week. I know your silver finds are off for this year, but do you mind sharing how much you have found thus far in 2017? I tried to figure out today how much silver I'd found since I started roll searching halves in 2014 and the best I could figure it's a little over 300 troy oz. That's certainly been a better investment than having that initial $3000. I used to buy coins in an account drawing 1% interest.

Looks like a rough week all around for everyone.

I stopped into one of my Chase dump banks yesterday that has always tried to deny me all along the way for years except for 1 or 2 tellers.

First when they still had the coin counters they told me they would have to hold my raw coin for a week or 2 until the carrier counted it.

I said "No Problem"

Then Chase pulled the coin counters and made you roll all of your dumps.

"No Problem"

Then this branch didn't want to take my rolled coin. Thanks to previous threads on this forum I learned that a bank cannot refuse a cash payment on an interest bearing loan payment. After trying to play nice with them on 2 week sin a row on week 3 I told them this and guess what, the next day I get a call from from a Chase regional manager trying to talk me out of a lawsuit.

"No Problem"

After playing along with their rolled rules for several months which I learned from another branch means someone there has to unroll them and put them in bags the branch manager says "Good news, you can put it in bags now instead of rolling" like they were doing ME a favor. So after 6 months of bagging I go in there yesterday and some guy says he is the new branch manager and they won;t take bagged coin from me anymore and tries to get me to sign up for a business account. I said no thanks, I am not a business. I asked if I could still dump rolled coin. HE had to admit "Yes" So guess what, they will be getting rolled coin again until they get broken again.

"No Problem"

Not trying to be that guy but if you poke the bull in the eye with a stick get ready for the horns.

If you work with me I am more than willing to work with you.

RCook, sure no problem, This is approximate, I take pics of most of my finds, so by the pictures I have I have pulled approx, 47 ounces and that is 45-90%ers and 181-40%ers. That is almost $800.00 smackers in silver at todays market value. Better than a poke in the eye with a sharp sitck.
