Thanks SE! The head teller at this bank I'm traveling near is very friendly and accommodating, so I cannot pass up the opportunity :)

Nice finds up there Silver Eagle! Picked up about 21$ of halves from tellers at my bank, gleaned two nasty looking 40% (oh well, silver is silver). They actually look better in the pics than in real life.

Did approximately 19 boxes over the last 3 weeks.
4 1964's, 10 40%ers, 2 proofs, and 2 rolls worth of NIFC.

That's a lot of boxes. I can't imagine getting 19 boxes of halves down here in FL. The tellers start getting pretty grouchy if I come around to offen. Either way great finds Jack!

Quote: What exactly constitutes a NIFC? 1970-D, 1987 P&D, 2002 P&D to date. Technically can include any proof, but most will note the proof finds separately.

Not sure if it qualifies as a monster box, but this is definitely the best box I've ever had. Going to Canada for my honeymoon (nearly 5 years married) next week, so I needed to do some currency exchange ahead of the trip. I decided to buy a big batch of halves to search through with the money before taking it in to make it Canadian. So $880 in half dollars, with one full box and the rest in rolls acquired from about three different banks. Went through the loose rolls first. One 1964-D and one 1969-D. Not bad, I thought. Then I got to the box. 2 1967, 3 1969-D, 1 1968-D, 1 1965, 1 1974-S, 4 1964-D, 1 1960-D One proof, six 90%, and 8 40%. Best take I've ever had. Here's a photo of it all: And when I went to dump, I also found a 1999 5 pence in the garbage where I was throwing away the coin wrappers. So I snagged that up too.
