Nice finds all Last 7 out of 8 boxes were skunks. Was starting to worry ...until I went through 2 boxes yesterday. Ended up with 5 40%, 5 1964 and a 1918 walker. I'll post pics later

Time off for dentist appointment, stopped at bank that I have not been to recently. Ask about halves, yes how many do I want? took 5 rolls, 4 rolls were skunks, roll 5 had a 1967 and a 1968D. After the dentist visit returned and picked up 5 more rolls, all they had, again roll number 5 was the best one, had 2 1965, very nice conditions. Living the dream! Webekin

Nice find Webekin. Better finding silver in rolls than having it installed in your mouth!!

Made a quick stop into one of my local banks and they had 18 loose halves. I found 3 40%'ers (66, 2x67) and the remaining 15 had an interesting date distribution: 74, 3x72, and 11x71. I do tend to see a lot of 71's and 74's when hunting in bulk, but this distribution seemed curious.

I've been getting skunked a lot lately. I call this the law of averages.

Last week, I walked 'bout half a mile on my lunch break (in 85 degrees) to the BoFA, and they had $12.50 in halves. I could see already in the teller's hand that there was a silver. Turned out to be a 40%er. Then I walked back to work. I was so hot that I decided to stop in the quick-mart in the building to buy a soda. The owner takes a half dollar out of the drawer and says "here- give me 50 cents. I know you like the silvers" another 40%er and the good feeling that someone acted kindly to me.

Quote: Went to bank to drop off my $80 in nickels and asked if they had any halves. Lady said she had $120. Told her I'd take them and to my surprise, every roll had at least one silver in them. BEST DAY EVER! Excellent! Quote: Last week, I walked 'bout half a mile on my lunch break (in 85 degrees) to the BoFA, and they had $12.50 in halves.
