Just got back from one of my banks that I have ordered halves in the past, once 2 months ago and once a year ago. They gave me a bit of a hard time about ordering them, they said it costs them ALOT of money to order coins and they hope I am not planning to make this a habit. The head teller has always looked like she eats prunes. Luckily I have 5 other banks that will order them (for now)

The head teller has always looked like she eats prunes. Most banks where I live order coins at least once a week... sounds more like the head teller there just doesn't like to do any more work than she has to. You may have found a new "dump" bank. I recently had a branch manager (I think) of one of my main banks (a branch I had only gone to once in the past) tell me that she could give me a box of nickels this "one time," but that it is a "merchant service" and that they wouldn't be able to do it again. She brought out the box, and it looked like one of the LOOMIS boxes of new 2017-D nickels other branches has been shipped that week, so I refused it!
CRH Nickeloholic. 1,600,000 nickels searched in eight years! Have found FOUR complete Jefferson sets!

I in a way hate to use them as a dump bank because the are only 3 miles from my house and are also Loomis which is what my other banks it get boxes from use, so I would be putting my halves back into my own stream.
I am trying to determine what all my dump banks use for a courier to see if I can dump outside the Loomis stream

I got a box of halves 2 weeks ago that was 6 rolls short ($60.00) This is why I check the boxes before I leave the bank. The bank credited my account for the shortage. I've had a couple of boxes 1 roll short before but 60 dollars
