Thomas21W, ordering coins from banks varies by the bank. My typical order bank wasn't allowing orders for about the last 12 months but just informed me last week they can place orders again. Check with other banks in your area. Happy hunting

Made a few stops last Monday got 3 40%. Went back to the bank that has been very productive the last few visits. The teller had 1 roll of halves. 7 40%. Someone is dumping a lot of 40s.  |

Great finds!
I recently hunted 3 boxes of halves (for the first time), and I actually didn't find any silver, but I did find a 2014-D high relief half dollar-just like your 2014-P.

Update on my attempt to order half dollar boxes: After Fifth Third said they would not even order, I tried Chase next. They said it was unlikely they would get them, but would place an order. I don't know if they did, but checked back with them a couple weeks later and they said nothing arrived; asked to order again and that was two weeks ago. Going to try US Bank next. I wonder if this is a regional problem, or just the banks in my town. Or maybe it is personal.  |

It seems like this is the way it will be going forward. Banks have made it more and more difficult to acquire rolled coins over the years. I always expect things to get worse, not better.  Banks are still businesses. They owe us nothing and it was fun while it lasted. |
