Ann odd one for sure...

Who would take this much time to make something? It weighs 10.8g so it is very light. Notice the side view and the ridges...I flipped it and it does ring so no magic coin.
Just an odd one..
PS I found about 35 BU !MS62+ 73, 74, and 77 halves. Only one 40% today but these BU coins were nice so I kept them.

Went to my 2 banks last week to get my weekly boxes from each. First bank said someone had come in and taken $100 from one box. I was bummed at first. got home and searched the $400 first....got my first Franklin  . Everything else was junk. Searched my second box afterwards, and ended up getting my biggest score ever. I hit 3 personal records. First Franklin, 7 silvers in 1 roll, and most silver in 1 box (53 40%, 8 90%). I'm thinking it was someone's inheritance dumped? How does this many silver halves get into "Fed" wrapped rolls? |

Finished 1 box tonight. No silver. No DDO's or DDR's. 14 NIFC. I was able to get 2 quality upgrades for the album. A 1986-D and a 1984-P. Strangely enough, the box was about half full of 2001-D's. |

    13 boxes this week a bunch of gem nifc 2008 proof (14) 40% (2) 90% ken (1) 90% walker Mostly skunk boxes everything came out of 2 boxes, the other 11 yielded 1 40% Got 13 boxes next week, then I kicked it up to 16 a week, good luck to everyone |

Three customer rolls today....
First had 1 Franklin, 1 '64, and 1 '67, second had nothung, third was all Franklins. 22 90%ers and 1 40%er haha. :)

Its the side view, there is a ridge and no way that could be acid that I could see. Its just strange, weighs less, and looks to be 'fake'? I will keep it for giggles..

It's acid. Don't believe us if you don't want to, but whatever, it's acid. I see these all the time.

Collecting is pretty much a personal thing in a lot of ways. If the piece is odd, and you like it, then
you should keep it and enjoy it.
I have coins here and there which are not worth a lot monetarily, but I have kept them due to their uniqueness
to me. I only meant you should send it back to circulation if you were holding it for monetary value. :)

4 more boxes, all skunks. 35 boxes so far in my current area and 20 total silver, half of which was in one box. Hopefully things get better.

Acid probably ate away the copper away in the center faster than the nickle on both sides. This would account for the ridge appearance on the edge.
