Oldham Industrial Co-Operative Society dividend token.

Co-Ops are shops where the customers are also members and profits are returned to those members by way of a dividend.
The more you spend, the more you get back.

Very interesting, what era would this be from? In England, do these co-ops still exist?

The age of the shopping mall and motorcar have largely rendered redundant these kinds of small, community-based co-operatives. Here in Australia they're basically extinct; a few still hang on in Britain but dwindling membership means they no longer hand out "dividends" as generously as they used to.

The tokens generally date from the late 19th to mid 20th century.
