Cool 1827. This coin is die variety N-7 which has a rarity designation as R.3 (somewhat rare). The grade is between F-12 and VG-10. I don't know if the stuff on the reverse of the coin is crud or corrosion but it affects the grade. I would net grade this coin at G-6. Now, if a soak in acetone helps the reverse I'd be willing to go higher.
1827 N-7 R.3 10/6.

Given that it's copper I fear something more serious than acetone would be required to help it.

VG-F sound right to me.
I would do an acetone soak for a few days to see how the reverse might improve.

My 10 second response is maybe a G4. Don't have any real experience grading these, so just taking a flyer. Looks to have been cleaned at some point.
