That is the French version. There is also an English version. The French version because of lower quantity printed is usually worth more. It was issued alongside the Silver Dollar to commemorate the silver jubilee of the reign of King George V. I remember when I was younger, my father got one from the bank but he ended up selling at sometime.

This was a commemorative note celebrating the King's silver jubilee and was the only time Canada issued a $25 note.
This series was also the only time any member of the royal family, other than the reigning monarch, was featured on a note. Aside from Queen Mary their granddaughter, Princess Elizabeth (now Queen Elizabeth) was on one of them, not sure who else was but there were others.

sel_69|, I can vouch for the seller of this item. I can't say if the asking price is reasonable but I've had a number of excellent dealings with coin-cabinet.

A friend of ours has one of these notes and, I think he wants $5000.00 but not as nice as this one.

For the 2017 note, I hope they create either a $15 or $25 note to commemorate the date. I really want something I'll be abe to collect. And I cant afford to keep a $150 bill lol

Over the years there have been many commemorative coins issued by the RCM. Like silver dollars 1935,39,49,58,64, and 67. There are only two commemorative bank notes ever issued by the Bank of Canada. 1935 - $25 and 1967 - $1.
