This is my first post about a coin here, so, please be gentle! I inherited some of my grandfathers lower grade coins - no gold or silver, but, they're interesting enough to get me hooked.

Anyway, this coin was in the collection. I know it's hard to make out the date but it is barely visible with a loupe. It's a 1923.

I know it's in poor shape, but, does it look like it had some kind of error when it was struck?

Post Mint Damage. Looks like vice grips or something got ahold of it.
