Hi everyone! About a year ago, give or take a year, one of the private mints was sited. I believe they were also shut down for a problem with the advertised purity of their rounds.

Anyone remember the name? Anyone know if they came back to life afterwards?

Again, thanks in advance!

Sorry, but your question doesn't ring a bell.

Here in the US there have been a few instances of private mints being shutdown for regulatory problems. But I'm not aware of any private or government mint failing to meet the stated metal purity of their bullion products.

I'd like to know as well if anyone would know. Mucking around with purity is a big deal.

While the prospect is concerning, it's not likely that any of the major recognized mints, private or government, would fail to deliver the stated purity on their bullion. The loss of reputation would destroy all current and future business.

The only one that comes to mind...would be the Mulligan Mint... but I don't think their issues were/are related to purity as much as malfeasance.
