Errrr...

I'm not sure what your first link has to do with the subject, but are you aware that your second link is to an article from 2013? Prices have fluctuated up and down since then, but have basically stayed about the same overall since then.

I agree Barry. The gold price has risen sharply in Euro during the past weeks but unfortunately the currency is so low at the moment that the effect was not noticeable here in the US. It's always an up and down, sometimes natural sometimes controlled and the problems in the unstable European Union also lead to higher gold prices these days. But the real economy does often not reflect the theory and likewise.
