NPB troll with multiple claims in the last few weeks: gmiloravaIt wasn't a numismatic item, but he's obviously victimizing people to tie up money. I played it smart and only lost 8 days, except it'll be another 8 by the time I relist and sell, and I needed that money. Worse, it's probably too late for a Second Chance from my other bidders.

Why would sellers give a positive feedback, then say the buyer didn't pay in the comments? Thanks for the tip, SD

Sellers can't give buyers negative feedback.

Thanks, I learned something new today - never noticed the options beside 'positive'. Been lucky, I guess!

Quote: he's obviously victimizing people to tie up money I'm trying to understand this. What does the buyer gain by doing this?

As it turned out, this is a setup to then contact the seller afterward with a scam email about payment. I sent it to spoof@ebay with a clear explanation of what's happening.
The guy had 12 NPB's when I posted this. He's now up to 17, and he's still a member in good standing.

Yeah, that one kinda blew my mind. It's the type of seller he's targeting - I'm selling from a new (to selling) account which is why I got targeted. Guess he didn't see I've been steadily buying with that account since 2007....

ebay blew off my warning because the email wasn't originating on ebay. Incomprehensible.

Do you have to reblock a buyer when they change their username?

Quote: Do you have to reblock a buyer when they change their username? I doesn't look like it. I just went into my list of blocked users and it had already changed it to his new name when I got there.
