ChildOfTheWheat Pillar of the Community United States 5828 Posts	Posted 04/20/2015 10:03 pm I got this from the "dateless nickel box" at my local pawn shop for $1. $1 for a dateless Buffalo nickel?! anyway, I got it because I thought I saw a "7". Looks like a 1917, but I'm not familiar with the wear patterns of these coins. If I need better pics, let me know. Thanks! Report this Post to the Staff

carnold744 Valued Member United States 415 Posts	Posted 04/20/2015 10:16 pm Yep, definitely 1917. Note how little space is between the 9 and the 7. Not enough for a 2 or 3 to fit in there. You can also see the top right side of the 1. Is there a mint mark? If not, it's pretty common in that condition, it so, that would be an awesome find. Report this Post to the Staff

My LCS puts 16's, 17's 18's and 19's with full dates in the bins of buffalo's for 75 cents a piece. Currently, it's been the same stuff in there for the past several months.
