It is the 5th year of the Republic of China = 1916 and it is a one yuan. No one yuans were made in 1916 so it must be a fake. I don't think any were copper maybe a pattern? But as with many Chinese dollars it is fake.

This is another fake Chinese dollar, and again the portrait is of emperor-general Yuan Shi-Kai. On this one, the silvery wash or paint originally applied to it has clearly worn away, except in the hard-to-reach places.

It looks somewhat silver, but dirty though. But I don't have the coin in front of me so it is kind of hard to tell..

It's a counterfeit Fatman Dollar. I believe it's made of brass and applied with a thin layer of silver. Year is 3, not 5. The spotting on the character made it look like 5. :)

Though I lost $45 for all these counterfeits this week, I feel comforted with your help, Sirs, Sap, Sakura and hc8604. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you three.

If you don't know Chinese old sliver coins, don't buy the raw coins. There are so many fakes. Yours are those very easy to tell and there are some that can't be easily determined by experts. If you like Chinese old sliver, I recommend you only buy PCGS or NGC certified ones.
