I've long saved interesting serial numbers - fancy, repeaters, star notes, birthday notes (lots of those) for many years now but received this bill the other day and not sure what to make of it. I can't find a term to describe what this looks like so in my hunt ran across this great forum and just joined. There are so many amazing coins and bills posted here. Always amazes me what gems we can pick up in change - got back a pretty decent 1910 cent last week.

But back to this note... I know it's not a smear and possibly it's post BEP damage from a bill changer or something... but seems that's a ton of ink moving around for that. But if I knew I wouldn't be asking for help which would be appreciated.

I can try to work on a better image but my scanner tells me I'm a dirty counterfeiter and refuses to scan it. Thanks technology. And thanks for any ideas anyone may have.

to CCF. Looks like a wet ink transfer.

Looks sort of like it was wrapped by a rubber band and was the outer note in a bundle of others and carried around in a pocket or sat somewhere damp and picked up some dirt and grime. It's definitely not a wet ink transfer. Looks like it's post BEP, whatever it is.
