Ah, not swans, but Phoenix, I believe. :)

Coin is a ten yen piece, Emperor Showa, Year 10 of his reign. Since he began his reign in 1926, this coin would have been minted for 1936.

At least, that's what I figured out. I've been known to be wrong. ;)

I was only guessing it as swans as I really didn't know what it is. Thank you, Madam for your expert and sincere help.

The denomination is 50 sen. Coin is made of silver, 72% fineness if I'm not mistaken.

Not quite right, it's a 50 sen piece and Showa 10 actually corresponds to 1935 instead of 1936. I'm working on a type set but I have been a bummer http://www.gxseries.com/numis/japan...e_modern.htm
