Came across this set in a pawn shop yesterday. I am looking for some opinions on the set ,also what about a price for the set.
I took couple of photos ,I have not seen the medallion in the middle before(it is not silver ?).
It is priced at 225cdn.
What do you think ?

The pawn shop market price is about right.
The numismatic market price would be at least $50 less than the pawn shop market price without the medallion.

I am assuming the medallion is not silver. I know nothing of it, but the pictures suggest that it is silver plated copper.

I agree with Sel-691.
Except for the 1935, the other dollars
you can get for 20-25 dollars each.
The 35 depending on grade might be worth $50.00
I can't see any real value in the medallion.
I would offer $175.00 and see what happens.

The medal exists in silver and nickel, so time to break out a magnet.

Thanks for the replies . Next time I pass by will have another look if it is still there and also take a magnet.I thought the price was a little on the high side ,never seen the medallion before, so it is nice to know that it could possibly be silver. Learn something new on here every time I come on CCF!
Thanks again.

Going by the picture, the medallion
looks like it is nickel or nickel plated but
it wouldn't hurt to double check it with a magnet.

Depending on how bad you want the Commemorative coin, is it hard to get? If no, I would start at $150, walk away at $175 if the dollars are really nice MS quality. The dollars are all fairly common and can easily be at reasonable prices as JimmyD mentioned BV is about $80-$90?

I agree with the prices suggested, how bad do you want it is the question.

If the medal turns out to be silver plated copper or bronze, it will not be attracted to a magnet.
