Ooops! Sorry I missed your entrance. I thought j_h_s was talking code. I looked back and saw the thread where you posted your desire for an Oregon Commem. I'm still looking for one too!

I have two OR Commemoratives. Photoed and posted to the best to my (camera's) ability is the better of the two. I'm no grader of coins...tell me what you think the grade is and I'll see if we can come to a mutual agreement about the grade and a selling price.

I don't have any reference books to grade commemorative coins, I just have Photograde.

My best guess from those pics would be somewhere around XF-AU.

Anybody else care to offer a grade?

I'll chime in, but if you put it in the grading forum you'll probably get more responses. It looks AU details (cleaned) to me, although the pics are tough. Don't ask me what I would pay for one, since I'm not currently in the market for one.

Thanks for your input halfbustisbetter, My first thought when looking at the 3rd picture was that it may be cleaned but it might just be glare, that or the quality of the camera.....

JHS, have you tried scanning this coin?

I have no scanner. Is it all your opinions that, failing a better camera, scanners are the way to go? I plan to divest myself of a considerable portion of my coin collection.

I estimate the coin at AU. However, I seriously doubt this coin was cleaned on my father's watch...he was too rigid about coin collecting to buy cleaned coins or to clean them.
