Its pretty tough to tell for sure because of the condition of the coin, but it could very well be. There is only one DDO for the date and that does look like doubling especially on the 'C' and 'A'. Unfortunately, due to the weak strike from the spilt planchet all the rest of the letters in AMERICA are missing. My best guess is yes, but I don't know if any premium would be attached due to condition even though it is one of the top varieties for the IHC series.

Haha you knew I bought it, I couldn't resist. Hopefully it's a bad pic and the color is better.

As an Indian cent variety enthusiast, I know any other person that shared the same interest would do the same. I think I recall seeing you already had one. These are always fun to cherrypick.

Yes, this ones unique to say the least. I tried to get Sullivan's to come down but no luck. Lol I love throwing an offer out there, you never know.

It's the double die, but I'm interested in the split planchet error. Looks funny to me. Nice pick.

The coin has been cleaned but is well worth the money for the Split alone.

I'll get some pics tomorrow. The coin is much better looking than his pics and definitely the S1. I asked Sullivan's if they realized it or had just overlooked it. They hadn't seen it. It's an awesome coin with the laminations or splitting prior to being struck.

Thanks, I really like it. It's much darker than my pics show.
