BullionPirate Valued Member United States 61 Posts	Posted 04/28/2015 5:10 pm Here are my first ancients; a King Azes II "silver of the Magi" 35BC-5AD and a Gordian III. Neither are all that rare or valuable, but I think they are a good start. There's something about holding a 2000 year old coin. My pictures looked much better before the compression, so I will have to play with my photography. Next on my list is something from the Celtic/Viking era Report this Post to the Staff

Azes is believed to be the king who sent one of the Magi. Also it is now believed the Azes I and Azes II are the same person. The Gordian III is really nice. What was it graded? Most ancient coin collectors would rather not have their coins slabbed. We like to handle them. Here is an Azes II tetradrachm from my collection. Report this Post to the Staff
