This one was submitted by Don Barkheimer of TX in 2011. It has a neat die dent or gouge (take your pick). The line from the V of bust to the rim is a die crack. Now if only this was on a Wisconsin quarter!
Makes you wonder. An act of movement (gouge) shouldn't proceed so smoothly through a device, but a strikethrough is going to dent the planchet long before the die. A strikethrough in hubbing should mean that we'd see a bunch more of these, and I suspect it's easily naked-eye visible.
