koinpro, what exactly is an uncentered broadstrike? I am fairly ignorant when it comes to errors

I would have put that info from that link here instead of creating a new thread but I find that good info actually get lost when included in a thread so it it can stand alone I do it like this.

It's definitely an error coin. I wouldn't say it's too common however Chinese coins struck during that era were notorious for all kinds of problem.

That said, I remember having one in my collection with a similar error
