CoinWeek - Based on Charles Morgan and Hubert Walker's groundbreaking article on bicentennial quarters, this in-depth video gives collectors deep background into one of the most popular coin issues in modern U.S. history.

Nice article.
This seems to go along with BiggFredd's opinion about slobbered coins. May he rest in peace.
Lets see what SsuperDdave has to say.

Interesting perspective but I'll keep my money in my pocket when it comes to buying high grade Bicentennial quarters! There are so many of these out there you can only loose investigating in the top grade. I can't even see having one of these graded at all. But then, I'd much rather have a coin like an XF 1909-S VDB cent than a top grade 1957-D cent for the same price.

This video is an adaptation of an article Hubert and I wrote in 2012. It's amazing that it has been one of the most read online articles about coins since that time. As to what I think someone should personally do? Collect what you like for fun... and please, pass on the high grade mushy strike 1776-1976 quarters.

I found the article interesting. Would have liked to seen the break down of how many coins were full drum versus the 3 other drum strike designations listed... Thanks for sharing!
