This beauty was sitting in an album for 11 months and toned like that during that time period. I put it in my Dansco 7070. Wow it is beautiful.

That is a beautiful nickel. What type of album was it in that caused this toning?

One of my first coin purchases I've ever made. It was a proof nickel (1960's can't really remember) that I found on my first trip to the coin store in the dealers discount bin. I think it was 2 or 3 bucks and deeply lilac toned. Ended up picking up that and then another one from the same bin a couple months later.

Nickel is my favorite coin metal for toning. It takes on the most beautiful subtle hues.

Toned Nickel is one metal you have to be careful of. Get it because you love it, not necessarily for an investment!

Very nice nickel

I am in the group that loves toned nickels.

When I see any Bu/proof nickels with color
I try to pick them up.
