Only a hammer head shark would think this stuff is real. come on people if it seems too good to be true".....................
maybe a little history is needed here. the 1948 dollars were all struck (business strikes) in a small time frame in December of 1948. The coins were known to be scarce and commanded a premium from 1949 on. The coin is a STORY coin that even non collectors are aware of. With the exception of some pocket pieces, most are encountered in full EF or Better condition. Those of you who frequent Kijiji and or Craigslist and hope for a score richly deserve the usually predictable outcome.

Good eye JimmyD, I hadn't noticed that, I was just waiting for close up pictures since the coloring already seemed off to me. The Kijiji one is kind of blurry but it looks like the 4 and 8 may have been done better, although it is hard to say. With the counterfeit one you posted the 4 and 8 look way off compared to close up pictures of authentic ones.
