I don't generally post auctions but thought I would share this, look at the sellers response to the question about 1936 dot 1 cent and 10 cent

It's "Dotty" again. His auctions (I find them rather misleading) have been mentioned a couple of times here. Not sure if he's the same "Dotty" who objected to every piece of evidence regarding the existence 1936 dot coins in this forum.

Yes, his first name starts with the same lettter as Dotty. Stay away from anything that this vendor sells if he even insinuates anything close to a "dot". To him, any die chip, rust spot, or mark on a die equates to a dot and is therefore, very valuable.

lol, love his response, thanks for sharing.

If you are into cracks, Cuds and other types of flaws he seems to have a selection.

For 500 bucks, man what a deal. He has to offers so maybe there are two suckers born every minute. Can't believe people drop this much money without a little research.

I honestly think, you can sell anything on ebay, people just want to spend their money.

This kind of crap annoys me beyond belief. There are many legitimate vendors that use ebay for their eCommerce needs because you can't substitute the amount of traffic one gets through ebay vs stand alone sites. The fact that these coins are listed in that way is bad enough, but the manner in which the response is given by this seller is appalling. As far as the offers, I would guess someone is just "toying" and the offers are probably in the range of .11 cents.

Believe me, it's not the first time that this vendor has tried to sell off these "dot" coins and trying to poopah the legitimate ones, prefering the conspiracy thoery to try to market them. He's been at it for years on coin sites and ebay.

I believe right now it may be "him" on the Coins and Canada web site who recently posted some more "dot" coins

I think it is time to shut down the thread, when the discussion leans more to the vendor (who is also a CCF member) rather than the coin itself... This is nothing but throwing fuel on the fire.

This "dot" coin is akin to the 1936 10-cent "poor man's dot" originally attributed by Hans Zoell. Finding it on a mint state coin has been a challenge in itself...
