I am proud to say that I have found a new variety of coins. While others may be to caught up in seeing if it's nickel or silver, I noticed while looking through my silvers there was something different. I know that I have made Canadian coin history and am proud of it. It all started when I noticed one was thinner than the rest. Then I saw the variety. A high "8" variety. As the majority of them are low/hanging "8"'s. I was so excited and still am. Here is the variety:

Looks more like a high "6" instead of a low "8" to me. (But what do I know?)

Are these comparison photos? If so making sure they are the same size would help. Right now I can't see the difference.

As you can see. The base of the six is consistent with the bottom part of the loop on the "9". I definitely did check at your proposal. But the "6" is the same in both scenarios.
