Since I have to return the 5000 cents, I decided to roll up the change I've been saving for my Grandaughter. Boy it sure is great when you can spoil them rotten and just give them back to their parents. Getting out of line here. Different story, different forum. Anyway, found another 98 wide and this 2000 Wide AM.

Morgan, I am going cross-eyed looking for them. I am into my third $50 of cents and have not found one yet. How many total did you look through before finding them?

Jim, found the first 98 wide in the 5000 cents I requested from the bank. The next 98 and the 2000 Wide AM were in a jug I've been saving change in for my Grandaughter.

I guess mine will come, but I am paying the price in the process. Oh, congratulations on 50 posts.

Are these Lincolns rare/valuable? I missed checking for these on my last penny search, maybe I'll do that today.

Update: does this apply only to cents struck in Philadelphia?

1998 and 2000 are scarce.....1999 is rare.

All have a premium depending upon there state of preservation with the 1999 dated pieces still going for hundreds.

It's a shame there are so few P-cents on the west coast...I've found perhaps 6 of 98-00 in 15 rolls. I guess I'll hope for finding a 92-D narrow AM.
