I found this today in change, and under my scope there's no trace of the 4th numeral--common die fill?

Also pictured are from circulation: a 68-S and a very well struck 56-D, escaped from a proof set perhaps?

San Francisco made both proof and business strikes for pennies from 1968 to 1974. Though the 68S has a low mintage compared to the 68 and the 68D, it s a mintage over 260 million.
