I just acquired a Canadian blacksmith token Wood No.12 and in Mr. Haxby's book the token appears brass while mine looks to be copper. help?

Does Haxby's book notate a different weight for each composition variety?

it doesn't even note a composition, the way it is done is kind of confusing me, does anyone have a copy of "a guide book of Canadian coins and tokens first edition"? the token in question is on p.135.

Very interesting token DM .. and good read Nickelodeon.
So if yours appears to be copper it may well be one of the earlier ones.
They where still being introduced as late as 1837 and the latter ones appear to be brass.

honestly the coin is almost identical in appearance to the one in the pic above with only slight wear differences but I can try to get scans on Thursday or Saturday.

thanks for the help everybody, I traded it for like $25 worth of stamps so I am happy. I had it confused with wood No.5 for a couple days due to their striking similarity.
