The second pic may have to be re-photographed, has this been seen before? I found nine of the third pic with a dot in the lower set of windows at the upper left. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/12/2015 10:56 pm A dot? Raised or incuse. If incuse, it might be something on the die or damage on the coin. If it is raised it might be a die dot (part of a breaking off of the die) But if they areas in question are exactly alike, then it might be a strike/die issue rather than a coin issue. CoinMasters Pillar of the Community United States 5964 Posts	Posted 05/12/2015 11:08 pm The third quarter has a raised dot in the lower section of windows at the upper left corner of the upper left window. I picked that up with a 10x loupe. I found nine quarters out of eight mint wraps. They are all pretty much the same - some maybe slightly more profound. my76strat Valued Member United States 128 Posts	Posted 05/14/2015 07:46 am I find the second image interesting; where the lower window's frame seems to show wood-grain-like extensions of the planks of wood siding which should butt up to the frame; stopping clean. Some areas like the top of the frame look rather strong in the image to me. Is something happening there? I'd like to see the third coin's full date; of what I see in pic 3, the 2 looks strange. CoinMasters Pillar of the Community United States 5964 Posts	Posted 05/15/2015 9:31 pm I'll tell you where the die chips are, They're on the top left of the shield on the new LSC's. I've never seen so many in one place. That particular area on the LMC's is home for the die cracks, I'm told because the corner of the building is a stress area.
