I know these are common but I just thought I'd show this set of off strikes for those interested. I acquired these all at the same time and from the same source. Comments welcome.

Cheers, SIC

CCF member Scissel has a "Round-the-clock" set of 1978 off-centre strikes in mint state condition. He produced an animated gif of these once, which I had downloaded a long time ago (perhaps from CCRS)? (Joe, I had to compress the images down to fit the CCF parameters, if you don't want this here, please send me a note and I'll remove it.)

Those are nice. I need to get some for my error collection. The only off centers I have are from the US.

Roger - Wow, I never thought you could compress that graphic enough to post it!

SIC - That's a nice little treasure trove of red cent errors. I have a complete round-the-clock set for 1980 offcenter cents. Some of my cents need upgrading to red - it's a work in progress.

The Free Image Optimizer here at CCF is quite powerful...

In answer to coin kid I bought these from a dealer at a Coin Expo back when they were held out near the Toronto airport. There were originally 10 or more and I bought eight of them and another collector that was at our show and tell when back and bought the three or four I had left. All the coins that I've shown in previous post all came from the same place, at the same time, I never really collected errors but at three bucks a shot I bought a bunch.

SPP you have or had one from this set we made a swap at the time I acquired them. I've still got the 1972 five cent off strike I got in return.

Cheers, SIC

I missed the last coin expo because I was committed to attend a dart tournament. I fully intend to be there on Sat. and I'm bringing some half dollars for you to look at. I also have some coins on loan from okiecoiner I want to return so I hope he shows up.

Cheers, SIC

Especially when many of them are in mint state condition...
