I moved a while ago and went on the website to update my address. Even deleted the old address. However, I just got an email showing that my 2015 silver proof set subscription is shipping to my old address. Apparently changing your default shipping address doesn't change the address on subscriptions. I called and the representative made it sound like I should have known that's how their system works. If they were a real business, they'd be out of business.
Does that mean you have to pay for the set that went to the wrong address or is the mint going to eat the cost on that? Someone at your old address is going to get an unexpected surprise. I am expecting to get my set this week but not sure since the tracking doesn't seem to be working.
They say that if I don't receive it, I don't have to pay. We'll see.
Here's the really messed up part. Even though it shows a status of shipped since Friday, it is STILL in their warehouse. They say they wouldn't be able to track it down to relabel it. I asked if they could request an address change with FedEx. Nope. FedEx charges for that and even though it's their mistake, they won't pay.
I have noticed if you make a change to your account, it doesn't seem to make its way to the subscriptions/enrollments. I found it easier to delete the old subscription/enrollment and make a new one.
BTW: I have done away with subscriptions/enrollments when the Mint did away with the 10% discount.
