I've had this Morgan sitting in a drawer for the last couple of years. When I pulled it out, I noticed that the 2x2 it was in had a small tear, and that the coin had some ugly yellow toning in that area, around the 'RTY' in LIBERTY on the obverse. I don't usually see this on coins that are just exposed to air, so it may be caused by the broken plastic. Has this happened to anyone else?

That would be the air, and probably the dust coming from the drawer

Or the drawer itself perhaps.
