It was actually pretty good, in that cheesy sort of dry way.

I collect watches and while I know the name, it's not a style I collect. As far as I know though he only made watches with liberty faces and 20 dollar pieces. Not gonna say the piece isn't legitimate, but that could explain why the price is so low. The user name leads you to believe it may be a jeweler, but his auctions scream autograph memorabilia dealer. He may not know.

I also collect watches. Lucien Piccard is one of those "fancy sounding" brands to fool the general public like the HSN coin shows hocking their ultra rare gold and platinum plated State Quarters. Look at the dial: jewelers replica with no date. I believe Corum started out making the original Liberty $20 coin watches from real US coins. After that they became a fashion brand with their Bubble watch designs. Womans version They also had ingot watches. The SLQ is my favorite coin and afte rI got out of coin collecting as a kid and into watches later on when I saw this one I had to buy it. Unfortunately the dial is rather small. Here is a comparison of the smallest watch I actually wear and the largest watch I actually wear.

Very cool! Real or not, they look sexy. If they are real coins,it must be nice to have a collection so big you can have watches made out of them! Probably ran out of coin holders so decided to use his watch as one.
P.s. nice watch collection! I'm not up to that scale of collecting, yet. vinyl and just recently, coins!

Quote: P.s. nice watch collection! I'm not up to that scale of collecting, yet. vinyl and just recently, coins! Stick with coins and precious metals. If I had I would have 40X the "wealth" I do now But you can't predict the future and when I got back into coins after 20 years off it was when silver was at $38 / ounce so I lost twice I could have a nice 1916 SLQ to finish my set for the price of this one but I can't wear an SLQ and I won't carry a 1916 as a pocket piece to get my moneys worth out of it. I did choose a 1916 SLQ first but the seller on ebay turned out to be a flake / scammer so I decided to treat myself after 10 years of wanting one once I said I could justify a cash purchase of this magnitude. 1st gen Grand Seiko Automatic GMT and then they come out with the 36K Hi-beat but you can't beat the original.
