My most recent pic and one of my best so far. I'm getting better, but any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. (Still not fond of the phone reflecting in the field.)

Looks pretty good.

Are you shooting through the plastic of the case? If so, that might be part of the reflection problem.

Wait and let the PRO'S comment though. They will be along I'm sure.

Nice results, especially for a very shiny coin in a slab.

I usually have problems when I try to shoot a coins in slabs. Often you'll see scratches and scuff marks in the image. There are slab polishing products out there to remove the scuff marks and some scratches, but I haven't tried them.

Reflections off the slab are a problem, too. The overhead Jansjo's need to be pulled farther away from the lens than usual, to avoid very bright reflections in the plastic.

Yes, I use Novus polish myself. (NOVUS 7100 Plastic Polish Kit - 8 oz. ), for like $16.00 US. I get it through Amazon.
They have 3 different polishes depending on how bad the scratches are. Works like a charm.
