I picked up a "Chopped Up" Trade dollar the other day and shelled out some decent money for it. I always wanted one and waited for the "right one" that was in better condition and had some eye appeal.

I'd like to research the marks and kind of ensure this aren't "recently chopped". The weight is right and is silver.

Good question but my thought is it would probably have more volumes than encyclopedia brittanica if there has been a comprehensive study done
