Hey, I thought that, after 2000, that all Canadian coins, except the $1 and $2 coins (until 2012) were made out of multi-plated steel, yet, I have a non-magnetic Canadian one cent coin, dated 2010. I did a quick search and saw a few sites claiming that ALL coins except for the $1 and $2 coins, were made out of either copper plated steel or nickel plated steel, so, do I have a rare error Canadian copper plated zinc or copper 2010 cent? Or were there copper or plated zinc cents made in Canada during 2010?

486 million copper plated zinc cents were struck for circulation in 2010.
Copper plated steel cents were only struck for sets in 2010

Check http://www.coinsandcanada.com/coins...nt-1965-2012 to see which years were a mix of steel and zinc planchets.
