It ends. Rome once again is victorious. It truly was another Alesia, except this time the foe was far more ruthless, powerful, vindictive, and hitherto undefeated. While Ebay/Paypal has in the past through their divine mercies granted buyers their monies back, this time the answer was no. They fought all the way to the gates of hades. The courts had resoundingly told them, pay up and shut up. They refused.

In the end, an order to appear in court for examination was issued to the Paypal CFO; he was ordered to divulge bank account information. Their best lawyers fought the order; they also went down in defeat. The appellate affirmed the order and sent it back to the Superior Court judge where he made it clear, little Patty Dupuis was to sit his Gluteus Maximus in the witness chair or it would find itself in a jail cell for contempt of court. The waves of barbarian lawyers and paralegals had been defeated, in spite of attacking from every side and every position. They met Roman steel and broke.

They surrendered. Monies were transferred today. The battle is won. Alas, Patty will not march through the streets of Rome and meet his just desserts. However our dignitas is restored and victory is ours. We have our Eagles back. The monies, rightfully compensated can now go to acquire more glorious Roman coins of old!

I encourage all here to fight on to stop fake coins from being sold on ebay. Persecute the sellers of such travesties, and make ebay pay for benefiting from these continuing crimes. As always, like any good Patron I stand ready to aid any and all with sage counsel should they ever befall such an evil fate as acquiring fake coins on ebay and they not be compensated.

congratulations!
In Spain is near impossible to fight against ebay...
You must pay a lot of money, and several years later perhaps you can go to a trial (or not...)

Hi Caesar, if you're willing to share, did they pay your legal costs as well?

AS for legals costs. I had none. It was originally a small claim, I filed all the paperwork. Under California law I was only entitled to interest on the monies, which was around $100, which I did give up to resolve matter. No lawyer would have touched this case as it was too small.
