CC and Electrum: Just got the email from my rep and the Pan Am coins actually look REALLY nice imho...the one with melded copper and silver is gorgeous.
Interesting choice to use the "mokume" innovative technology for the sports coin. Without mokume, it just had no chance, now - interesting to keep in eye.
But, together with this, would be better (from the collectors point of view), to test it on NCLT Maple Leaf related... the "Reflection" coin has good idea, but the design is weak, imo.
Added: pay attention to the design of Gold "prehistoric" coin. Who did approve it? Probably it was taken from some "kids contest"
Silveroid the coin "critic", did you just lift that info from RFD?
Here are the medals.
Quote: As the Official Medals Design and Production Supplier for the Games, the Royal Canadian Mint will produce 4,283 competition medals and 15,664 participation medals.

Not this time, Northerncoins.
I got the mail close at midnight, was busy by watching a movie, so posted close to 2 AM. And previous post was just to hype the excitement.
Usually, when I take the info from RFD, I write "other forum" or "thanks to other forum members".
So.....let's add something:
Looks like the "mokume" coin gains interest. Thanks to the other forum, where dealer explains the "mokume gain". In addition, dealer confirms that 2015 Superman is the last in the series (isn't it worth to hoard some? )
ADDED: Announcement just received from CC&C:
The 2015 Superman coins available (for issue for pre-order). Now, using the fact, that these are the last in the series, can we allow to miss any of the coins in the 2013-2015 Superman series ? (ofcause, the gold coins according to the budget).
Very curious that I can get better photos and more information from CC&C than I get in an e-mail from my rep. There are even coins on CC&C's site that are not in the rep e-mail. Why is a dealer's website updated but the Mint's is not?!
Good call on the gold prehistoric coin. Though I can't say I've ever seen a real sabre tooth, I think that design is comical.
The mokume gane coin is innovative and looks pretty good IMO but paring that new technology with the Pan Am games (yawn) kills it for me. Had it been just the maple, I might have considered it.

I can allow myself to miss them lol, 10k minatge is too high for me, pass. But if you like them then buy them , just don't buy more then one thinking they will rise in value.

+1.
Sheesh, no one mentioned the Canada Adventure coin subscription?
I might be interest in getting the 5 cents coin subscription but will wait to buy it on ebay at discount price later on. It seems like a nice set but not really feel like spending over $600 for the subscription

Same... But buying 3 of them for full price, creating partial set, and others 3 will look for reduced. It nice and solid RCM item, but priced too high....as now understandable - they've better go closer to the Farewell Penny set style - less silver and less mintage.
Quote: Adventure coins - any thoughts on this set...?
Based on the RCM's catalog, the designs appear to be nicely executed but the set's theme is not really one that interests me. Maybe if I was an enthusiast of the activities being portrayed I would have a different mindset.
I doubt it will sell out. A maximum potential mintage of 20,000 per coin should be more than enough to meet collector demand.
