The design of the silver dollar in the set is so similar to the SD released in January, I wonder if it was the "runner-up" design for the annual release? Maybe the RCM had such a tough time picking between the two for the annual SD that they decided to release them both? Either way, I'll be adding it to my collection. PS: John Mantha is responsible for both designs, so the strong similarity in designs is not a coincidence.

Check the Coins For Fun, he has some nice items, and they are from the new RCM release. Interesting, what is the weight of that not round $50? (looks like souvenir piece) The Dinosaur (doesn't meter exact name) impressively done The "Double Maple Leaf" - not realistic, but artistic ... nice

Quote: It's a cat! No way it is a T-Rex like with tigerish something CORRECTED:Yes, this is the big cat, not dyno. But the way it depicted on the coin, I just can not see it jumping. Each time, when I look on the picture, I see it stands on the legs in the "T-Rex pose". ***ADDED:
pay attention to the non-RCM close releases: * Kiwi coin without kiwi might be interesting (although nothing will beat good old Proof kiwi) *Additional FENG SHUI presents " The Phoenix" - the series is not in my taste, but this is nice coin. *Vintage mini posters presents " Visit Canada" - small patriotic item.

I spy a 2015 Loonie variety only available in the 2015 Special Edition Uncirculated Set.
Drat, guess I know what I must do to feed my variety obsession.

Only a guess on my part, but I would estimate the selling price of the SE Proof Set will be in the range of $99.95 to $109.95 CAD.
Mintage: 20-25K

So I guess if June is running with flag coins, we can assume that July will be the deluge of Pan Am games brikabrak?

CC No doubt there will Pan American brikabrak coins...those tourists need to take a memento or two home with them to remember that golden moment...and given that RCM is producing the medals...expect!! This no doubt is shaping up to be a further record year of new releases...

The 2015 Gold Superman coin (together with 3 silver and rest of June release) available for pre-order via the Reps. Price: CAD 750.95 Mintage : 2000 only worldwide **Something first time for all the times: RCM introduced "mokume coin" (looks like soon the other Mints will copy this technology and issue their own coins - there is a huge "field" to play with the designs".
