That 9 is what alerted me that they were the same die pair. Some in the roll had the Cud and some didn't. The Cud must have just developed with the batch of coins that went into filling that roll. Very odd to find in one roll.
Or the collar chipped during that run. Note the die scratches to the right/under on the mint mark? That tells me that the coin on the left was struck after the coin on the right. Also the die chip in the center comes the edge of the 9 on the left. (making it a later die state)
