I have seen a few of the anti catholic medals with the pope/devil and cardinal/jester this one works the same way but what and who is it for, about? Sultan of Turkey?

Still researching this, I would appreciate comments on the following.

Could this be Selim II with the devil and on the other side John of Austria with Marcantonio Colonna and Sebastiano Venier?
the Battle of Lepanto in 1571 would put it in the same time frame as the Anti-Catholic Medals

Copy found and ordered now all I have to do is lean German in 3 days and we are good to go :)

I had noticed the similarities to that one, Petrus. The curved horn of the devil, only with the devil's ear blurred into something like another horn. And the papal triregnum (three-tiered crown) turned into a turban.

I have two of those at the moment

but this small (22mm) silver one seems to be anti Islam if anything, from what I have read, Islam was accepting of the new protestant religion.

Got my copy of Katalog Satyrischer Medaillen und Münzen, I must admit I was hopeing for at least some pictures, "sigh" going to be hard going....
